Well-Known Companies Leading the Way Towards a Greener Future

Each year more and more companies are recognising the importance of transforming their office into a green working environment. We couldn’t be more thrilled to help those seeking green initiatives with our eco-friendly, green office supplies and services. Not only are they doing their part, but we are also recognising those changes and thought it would be a good idea to bring them to your attention, maybe you could follow in their footsteps… with our help of course.

Disney

Disney has been a well-loved organisation for many, many years, but now it has given you one more reason to cherish it. Disney is working to lower its greenhouse gas emissions by lowering its electrical consumption and introducing greenhouse gas emission policies. It also has a no waste policy, meaning that no waste will be sent to landfill sites.

Not only this, but Disney is also using technology that works on lowering the company’s carbon footprint by saving water and is enhancing its product manufacturing and distribution process.

Nike

Nike is another well-loved brand which has now stated that it is eager to showcase the value of green initiatives through advertisements and putting its green ideas into practice. Nike has also incorporated a line of sustainable products whereby items are created from sustainable materials such as recycled polyester.

The company also uses renewable energy sources in its manufacturing and has pressed 650 of its suppliers in 52 countries to develop environmental policies to help the environment.

eBay

eBay, a well established online company, has also been focusing on environmental sustainability and has introduced a scheme where customers can reuse or exchange their goods instead of throwing them away. This increases the life of products and lowers waste rates, and fewer items are being sent to landfills.

eBay has also partnered with United States Postal Services (USPS) to make sure the items they ship are being transported in an eco-friendly manner.

Starbucks

Finally, we have Starbucks, a company that embraces environmental sustainability all around. Not only does it purchase Certified and Fair Trade Certified organic coffee, but it also focuses on achieving Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certifications for its new stores.
From producing green stores, the organisation is able to lower its operating costs as well as minimize its impact of business practices on the environment.
