### UK Offices are Failing to Become Eco-Friendly

![](https://info.globalofficesupplies.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/uk-offices-falling-behind-1.jpg?width=752&height=354&name=uk-offices-falling-behind-1.jpg)

Each day, offices in the UK consume large amounts of energy due to the constant use of computers, air conditioning, lights, printers and kitchens. This is one of the main contributing factors as to why offices in the UK produce 250 million tonnes of harmful emissions and waste each year. The average cost of this energy for 50% of business owners is £1,000 which is a significant amount of money to spend ineffectively.

As well as this, just over 30% of business owners in the UK stated that their office does not have any innovative schemes in place to help their office go green.\[1\] This is highly damaging for the environment so it is of utmost importance that companies implement green initiatives to make their office as eco-friendly as possible, especially when there are many [free and easy to implement services on offer](https://info.globalofficesupplies.co.uk/services/).
